after logging 145 games on Mellon, i did some analysis on data and found out (as expected) with numbers increasing, and ELO gap spreading i needed to tweak some variables to keep the competition fair and on.
Currently players were too "protected" when playing low rate army, and as gaps were closer when the league started, elo is not scaling as i'd like it to.

I have therefore tweaked the formula, improved it a bit, and added an additional parameter, which is your opponent army. So now the elo takes into consideration your opponent army as well, to give you an extra protection.

I have reduced the multiplier from army rate, but i have increased K and Differential, to make the Elo gap more heavy.

if you'd like to look at the formula, you can find it in the FAQ page, but to give you a fair idea, a player will now Lose more and win less when going against a weaker opponent, and win more and lose less when going against a stronger opponent. I feel this change will make the league more competitive and punish top player for farming elo behind a low army rate.

I am currently aware of a bug where if you try and edit a list submitted to an event, it sometimes disappear after saving it. Rest assured, the submission work, and i can see your army list.

Ive Just uploaded the biggest patch so far, as I wanted to manage events on Mellon in a better way.

Events will now support tournament format which will allow players to register, submit list, view their rounds and standings all from Mellon.

I'm gonna work on little improvements with time, but the core function is there.

Updates:

Submit matches will now ask if it's a tournament and ask for VP
Recent matches will show the tournament played and link you to
When registering two armies, the first is always considered your good one.
Past events will still be visible but can't be interacted with.

Hello Everyone,

Took me a bit to do this update but fixed some major stuff on the back end.

MATCHES
- Matches now will be published as soon as submitted by the player.
It will then show if approved or not, but it will just for reference and for being precise; but the approval will not affect the publishing of the match.
This is because i wanted to prevent matches played after, to be approved before, and wrongly calculate ELO.
- Matches will also now show the ELO changes for you and your opponent.

EVENTS
- Fixed withdrawn button on events. You can now drop from events you've joined with a click
- I've now added the option to register to an event either Good or Evil. this is just to give reference to your opponents.

I will be working on some UI updates next, as i feel i have fixed most of the backend issues.
